Have Tea with me, the Gossips free......

The sun was well and truly shining on my weekend.......
I am happy to say we made the most of it too!

As a Garden Tea Party was the order of the day on Sunday.
It was lovely to wear my long dress, that had been hanging lazily in the closet, just waiting really for summer to arrive!

The tables were laid up beautifully awaiting the guests to arrive.
It was wonderful to enjoy the warm sunshine...

Did I mention there was a buffet lunch and Cup cakes of course...

Lots of cupcakes!
And Pimms Cocktails.

It is the first sunny day we seemed to have enjoyed out doors...
I must add though, that we had drama in the skies earlier in the morning with thunder and hailstones and even flooding, such crazy, crazy British weather.
But the sun came out again and all was well!

All the ladies were treated to Orchid Corsages....
So special!

We had such as special day together.
The lady in question, who the celebrations were for, was celebrating her 92nd birthday, wow!
My dear brother in laws Mum.
And she enjoyed every moment of her special day....

Trinny enjoying the sunshine..........

It is hard not to mention our Olympic's as we have been enjoying them so much.
Saturday 's gold medals were just amazing!
I have felt so proud of our incredible athletes.....
Although I am a vintage girl at heart, I do live with a house full of athletes, as I mentioned in earlier posts..
I understand the years of commitment and dedication  involved to reach this standard of even taking part in the games, let alone attaining a medal of any kind!
Soo well done team GB.
I'm loving watching you all.

I will leave you with this advert for Dean, which was printed in our local newspaper recently and incidentally is located in the railway stations in Birmingham and Euston and around the country too!
Poster Boy!
I would like to thank you also for your kindest of wishes, for Dean and also add, you are the loveliest of folks on here!

Wishing you a week full of 'Happy Days', till next time.....
Love Maria x

What a lovely garden party you laid on for the birthday girl, she must have been over the moon, cakes looked fab, I loved the corsages and you looked very elegant in your dress.
How very proud you must be, seeing your son Dean on a poster, what a great picture of him, We have been watching the Olympics non stop, It has been outstanding, I think it has pulled everyone together and put the Great back into Britian.
Our weather sounds the same as yours sun one min, and storms the next, but there is a real nip in the air at the moment, Autumn round the corner?

I soo agree about putting the Great back into Britain (remember last August) with all the terrible riots, it feels an age ago, thankfully now!

  12. Oh, how I wish I could have joined you and the other ladies at the Garden Tea Party. It sounded delightful! However, I am sure I would have gotten into trouble with all those yummy cupcakes sitting around, tee hee. :)

Your mother-in-laws mom is 92? That's wonderful news! I can only hope to live that long. I'm glad that she enjoyed herself.

The corsages were darling. Did you make those? :)
