Thought for today.
" Be your self; every one else is already taken"...
~ Oscar Wilde.
I've come to the conclusion that 'May' as lovely as she is...
Is passing me by just a teeny bit to fast...
And more worrying is I'm appearing not to be playing by
any rules in blog land..
Forgive my absence both here and in your little corners...
But " time"
quite simply in May has seen to pass me by....
while I was away for the longest of times..
I did miss you all.
~
I've managed to beaver away at pretty jobs that were calling to me
to finish here at home..
Those who frequent here regularly will know I only
sprinkle 'magic' dust here and there..
And all is usually tickety boo !
And this always makes for the happiest kind of feelings...
Thank you
Mrs " Where the moon sleeps"..
For this wonderful harvest from your allotment!
Love, Love and Loved some more
the great allotment challenge on our screens recently!
Strawberries for tea...
I'm a wondering did you see the drama in our skies
last eve ?
We had the loudest thunder and lightning, ever!
~ and today is feeling quite the sorry one..
Here's hoping Mr sunshine will' tip his hat' later on and all will be
well once more..
hehe!
My latest read above..
Ooh my!
Ava Gardener
The Secret Conversations..
The tale of bad ~ girl Ava's own lurid life,
full of lust, love and even a little acting...
A fascinating read..
( Thank you Jean)
I'm going to close for now..
And I would just say..
"The day belongs to me today!"
The best ~ est kind of day...
I will be popping on the kettle and catching up with you all
as soon as can be.
Wishing your day to be a sunny one..
Hugs and kisses.
Maria x

Hello lovely Maria...we have missed you :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't been blogging myself these past few days.
I do love your floral wallpaper, and the colour of that paint.
That was a crazy thunder storm we had last night, and many more to come, or so I'm told.
I painted my kitchen 'stormy sky' once and it was just lovely. Not sure why I painted over it really.
I hope you're feeling your usual twinkly self, and will catch up with you soon xx
Hi Maria, I think the arrival of Spring has set us all off doing lots of jobs to clean, tidy, paint and catch up with ourselves. I know I've been super busy too.
ReplyDeleteI know you'll enjoy Ava's book, thank you so much for the mention, much appreciated.
Jean xx
May is passing us by too quickly, Maria! At least the sun came out for us today though, phew, it's really warm, a strawberries and cream kind of day ...
ReplyDeleteLove your furniture, such pretty dottiness! Are they for your lovely back garden? Can't wait to see the renovations ... stay cool ... Won't be long now ...
Love claire xxx
Oh I am so glad to see your back. I did wonder if those pesky builders had got the better of you. I love the quote by Oscar Wilde. Your bunting is absolutely gorgeous and a fresh egg always goes down well. Another book to add to my list I think, he he. We didn't get any thunder and lightening, I have to admit I love that sort of weather and would love to go storm chasing. Hope you have had a lovely day with others passing you twinkles as they pass by your way.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of the week.
Ali xx

Good morning dearest Maria! We had our own storms a few days ago, and the moon was shrouded in clouds....ever so romantic and perfect as I now can go outside and observe her with no fear of snow under my feet! WELCOME HOME! Anita
ReplyDeleteHI Maria. Sounds as if you have been a busy bee.
ReplyDeleteTony has the Ava Gardner book because of course she was once the love of (and married to him) Frank Sinatra's life.I may give it a whirl, they do say she was a very naughty girl!! I am expecting a very saucy read!
Hello Maria

I know just what you mean about being a busy bee! I think we bloggers must all be busy doing, making, travelling etc. - that's why reading other people's blogs is SO interesting!
ReplyDeleteHello Maria, we’ve missed you but fully understand about the quickness of May – where did it all go?? Like you, I’m finding it hard to keep up with everything – but the heavens have opened today so I’m taking the time to visit all my favourite people in Blogland and that (of course) includes you! Have a wonderful weekend xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely post! Thank you for sharing that.
